IssuesPA/Pew April 2006 Survey: 15 Major Findings
May 2006
The latest IssuesPA/Pew poll surveyed 1,503 Pennsylvanians on governance, economic performance and education issues. The poll shows declining satisfaction with the direction of the state, as rising gas prices and displeasure over last year’s legislative pay raise emerge as major factors. As the Gubernatorial race nears, finding ways to control state spending and improve education funding top the voters’ list of governance-related issues. The poll also provides information on voter concerns over property taxes and perceived impediments to regional economic performance.
The survey was conducted for the Pennsylvania Economy League by Princeton Survey Research Associates International from April 17 to April 26, 2006.
